How to Choose Party Dress Dependent on Your Body Type

Party season is coming, you have to pick out the right party dresses from your closets. Every woman wants to stand out from the crowd, the right attire will be one of the most important aspects. If you have no idea how to find the appropriate party dress, don't worry, here are some tips for choosing your right dress dependent on your body type.

Apple Shape: Because of the often larger abdomen and chest area, apple shapes need to look for party dresses that are looser around the stomach, therefore drawing attention away from that area of the body. In general, empire waist dresses may be a goog choice. In addition, dresses with the detail focused on the chest or waist work really well because they draw the eyes away from the midsection.

Pear Shape: Pear-shaped women have smaller waists and shoulders, despite the disproportional nature of their hips and thighs. For pear shapes, there are quite a few great dress styles that work. This includes A-line, halter dresses, sleeveless dresses, long, flowy dresses, and wraps. The point of all of these styles is to emphasize the best aspects of the pear shape, the smaller upper body and waist while drawing the eye's attention away from the larger bottom. In this respect, any dress with detail in its top half is ideal since it focuses everyone's attention onto the pear's best assets.

Banana Shape: Because banana shapes are often slender throughout, they are excellent candidates for tight, form-fitting party dresses that emphasize a woman's svelte physique. Unfortunately, for many bananas, however, this thin look is more "boyish" than it is feminine, which can derail the whole trim-cut look. For these women, a great option is choosing dresses with eye-catching details that accentuate a slender waist while enhancing the bust and hips. Another important tip is to look for dresses with large accent features such as big belts or a mix of textures that serve to give the body a more curvaceous look.

Hourglass Shape: Long considered the "ideal" body type made popular by icons like Marilyn Monroe, the hourglass body type is also the type most common among full-figured women known for large busts and hips with a smaller relative waistline. Which type of hourglass you have helps dictate the type of style you should pursue.
